I wonder if it’s about time fab did some work to their system. So often I see women complaining that their inboxes are full from men. The sad thing is probably 90% of those messages are from men who they would not want to meet. But the more appealing men get lost in the sea of messages and most won’t even get a reply. This shows that the system is not working and there needs to be more filters or something to stop this happening. In a lot of cases some women just get fed up with it and come off the site altogether. Fab do something to fix this! |

There are filters we can use to help make sure that the messages received in our inbox are from people we are more likely wanting to meet.
Personally I find the messages that stand out from people who I potentially might like to meet are very different from the other ones which are simply "hi babe" or "faf".
I feel the system works ok as it is although I understand others may feel differently. |

The system works just fine if you actually use the tools in place.
I don't want loads of messages as I don't see the point in having loads that I will never read much less answer so I keep my filters tight. Others prefer to get mail so don't tighten theirs .
I also have no issue with actually contacting someone first if I see a profile I like yet again this seems to be something a lot of people don't do and prefer to sit back and moan about how horrible the messages are that they receive yet they do nothing to change the way they use fab. Yes it doesn't stop all the crap messages but it helps and I honestly can't remember the last time I got an abusive message and all I do anyhow if I get one is delete them and move on.
The good decent guys will always stand out .The abusive guys or the ones that send faf etc messages only harm themselves. |

I always think ladies and couples that finish their profile off with ‘please put XXXX in your subject when messaging’ are really smart as this goes some way to ing out those that haven’t read profiles. At least you can delete a message without reading if it does not have your word of choice in the subject |

Tools are available, people choose to use or not use them.
I find some of the ladies who shout about the volume like the attention.
I sense op you feel your messages maybe lost in the volume, if the site did impose restrictions (how I'll neger know as peoples filters preferences are unique to them) you might well be the guye who was excluded, same problem.

If people choose not to use the available filters that's their choice.
Ít has become a thing recently though to tell the forum how many unread messages some people have which then encourages others to chip in with my inbox is bigger than yours comments.
The site works as it is but yet so many people feel the need to whinge about it and try to change it to suit them rather than adjust their own practices. |
