just to let you know,,there is a scam/virus out at the moment in the form of a java update,,dont update from the pop up,,go straigh to the java site,,
the next scheduled java update is not due till october 16th,,
dont know if this is ok to post,,if not just remove |

Have you got the source for this?
Reason I ask is…. Java updates I beleive are only released quarterly but due to a suspected security breach they made the unusual decision to release an update sooner than planned….

A vunerability in Java was being exploited by a few hackers but as of 30th August's update that has been closed off.
If malware has been hiden in a java download folder, as these are sometimes deliberately excluded from scanning as safe places, then it can look like a "java" file is a virus when in fact it is just hiding behind java. |
