So I have this filter set on my account yet I am still getting messages. I asked a few of them how they got around it and they say there wasn’t a restriction stopping them messaging so it’s not looking like it’s the guys getting around the filter more like the filter doesn’t actually work at all… it’s no big deal I guess just quite frustrating thinking you have your account all set up how you’d prefer but finding it doesn’t matter anyway.
Is anyone else having the same issue? I’ve just had a real influx of messages from those with pictures so thought I’d ask.
Oh, and I have checked my settings multiple times each time these messages are coming in so I know I have the filter on. |

They’ll get a notification to tell them about the filter, so they’ll then make a picture public, message you, then set the pictures back to private.
Unless it’s someone you’ve interacted with previously as the filters won’t apply. |

Thanks, I’ve heard that’s how they do it but a few of them have said it’s not the case and no restriction to message… I’m guessing they are trying to save themselves but thought I’d see if others had the same thing happening.

My filters are the same but it seems if they have friends only photos (even though we are not friends) they can still message! I've had several like this recently  |

Yip, you are not alone. I get this too. Lots of times from fairly new profiles that I haven’t spoken to prior to setting my filters. |
