Why is it when adding pics for my eyes only or friends only do they appear in the public status feed?

I think you have to select private as you chose to upload them.

You can also change whether they are public, friends only or private at any time and they should no longer appear in news feeds

Any pics you ad as friends will show up on your feed and friends but shouldn't be public unless you have accidentally ticked wrong box.
