Change Username

I am trying to change my username and everyone I choose brings up an error message yet if I search for these names they are not in use. Any suggestions?

"Sorry, the username and confirm username don't match. Double check they are both correct"

OK, I haven't used the function, but I guess it's asking you to enter the new username twice - are you entering exactly the same name?

Lol Yes I am or I wouldn't have asked for help ! I know there are some thick people but I am not one of them
