Photos not appearing in main new photos gallery

Asking for a new member who can’t post on the forums yet:

New photos have been approved and added to their public photos on their profile but they don’t show in the main new photos gallery.

Any reason for this?

I noticed this myself when I rejoined a few weeks back.

It seems to sort itself out pretty quickly
