Generally when you click on someone's page it will say you're both on mobile xxx miles apart, or it won't give a distance if they haven't been online recently. We are in Canada and there is a couple who has their location listed in the UK who swears they are in the same town as us. They say they moved here. They even told us what street they live on. But the distance reads as "Using your mobile GPS, 2300+ miles away". Is this the same as showing the distance between mobiles or does this just show the distance to their listed location? I've never seen it worded like this before. |

"I'm not sure how to turn who's near on. I can go into search and click on who's mobile nearby. But that will only work if you're both on mobile."
That's the one.
You show up as 2300 miles away from me when my mobile is on and off, btw |

This is true. The account is only 4 months old but they say they moved here in 2019. They said they used the UK location because that is where they are from. |

"ask them for a selfie outside a local shop or pub, an easy task if they are really in the same town as you x"
Very good idea. Thank you i will do that. |

When I use my UK or overseas mobiles whilst in North America, fab always shows me as viewable from there by distance, rather than my listed address.
If their mobile doesn't have GPS App permissions and their web browser doesn't have location permissions likewise, they will not be giving Fab what it needs, in order to calculate distance. It then reverts to the profile address postcode.
I'd mention it to them and suggest getting their settings changed. The photo suggestion above was a good idea. |
