I know admin can close a thread and it still be visible, but can they remove one entirely? I was hoping to pop back to a discussion that was heating up a little, but can’t find it at all.

Thanks

Yes threads can be closed, moved or deleted, if the content validates that

It must have got a little too heated then. Shame!

Thanks though.

Have you tried finding it with your green arrow? That should tell you, one way or another

I've noticed a few threads I've posted to disappear as well, though it's not always been clear why.

Actually, looking at the rules again I think I might have inadvertently done something I shouldn't in the most recent example... mentioned a couple of websites and I could have easily made the discussion point without them.

Don't want to keep making work for the moderators if I've misread the rules

I was actually hoping someone may have replied to what I’d posted, which in itself was a little controversial, but I’d not got a time out, so guess I can’t have been the worst

It is a little nanny state though, so I think there should be a little more allowance for discussion as we are adults. I know it’s all about being positive though

O o O oo

There is allowance for discussion, there are just limits as to what subjects you can discuss or how people discuss them

If you fancy checking the rules they are here, it gives you an idea of why things get removed
