Can i ask a question ?
How is it when i look at a hotlist profile and it says there are x number of pics in private gallery i can see the pictures in it as i dont have them on my friends list surely i shouldnt be able to access them?
Also does this mean that the person in question can see my private gallery ??
I like them but havent met them as yet as I dont add friends until i have met with them xx |

They have maybe sent you a friends invite and thats the reason you can view their pics, but they cannot see yours unless you accept the invite they sent. |

This seems to be whats happening as i have asked a person to try and see my private pics and they cant even when on my hotlist so if thats the way its meant to work then its working properly Thankyou for the advice and help from everyone xxx Lois |

Private pictures should only be seen if you are on a friends list. Our face pics are in private for a reason and I wouldn't like to think that anyone who puts us in their hotlist can see them!?
Please fix this.

We've communicated with Louis privately on this matter.
There was a very rare cirumstance where if someone had sent YOU a friend request, YOU could see their photos without having reciprocated the friend request (i.e. without you accepting it). They could not see your photos.
We've now fixed this. Thanks to Louis for her help in tracking this down.

Just to be clear, this wasn't happening in all cases where someone hadn't reciprocated a friend request, only a very limited number triggered by a certain condition.
And it's fixed.
