Cap Dag Staying out the Village

I’m hoping to spend a month in Cap this summer but it’d be uber expensive to stay in the village . Has anyone stayed just outside the village , did it take away from the experience ? I’m travelling as a single ..

any pointers appreciated .

Thanks

Costa Blanca Spain...

For our regular two weeks we always stay inside the village. However when we call in for a couple of extra days on our way down to Spain in September we stay outside.

The first thing to think about is late night transport, there hardly is any. Taxi's are scarce and expensive and the bus service doesn't run through the night. You could hire a car but by the time you've paid for that you may as well just pay the money and stay inside.

Also the price of the village pass is much more expensive if you are staying outside. It is heavily discounted to people staying inside.

If you go inside for a day on the beach or in one of the sauna's you will either have to take a change of clothing with you for the evening or trek back to base to get changed.

For our extra couple of days we don't mind but we would never stay outside for our regular fortnight.

Cambridge and Cap d Agde ( various weeks 2021 )

The gentleman above has answered most of questions

I have done both in the past and a 30 minute walk at the end of an evening is far from appealing. There are no such things as taxi ranks in th3 village and you will find taxis very expensive.

Instead of going for a month , why not go for two weeks and stay in the village.

What is your proposed budget for accommodation costs ?

Why not drive down with a tent and stay on the campsite?

50 euro approx per night depending on dates.

You can get good wifi on the campsite and lock your stuff in the car?

Another option, Renee Oltra campsite rent out caravans & chalets, cheaper than apartments but you'd have to book quickly as they sell out very quickly and booking has been open a month, so may be too late already!

Late addition I know, but might help someone...

We always stay in an AirBnB just outside the village (have always found one within 500m or so) and hire bikes. We can get from our front door to the adult beach in about 5 minutes. Try that walking from anywhere but the campsite.
