New laws have come into force here (Loi Alur) and the property has to be licenced by the Marie for a regulated number of guests. Also most rental contracts require the names of renters as each are joint and several liable for any damages. Sub letting is usually excluded. |

Depends on your contract. It may be possible to add someone to the rental providing its within the licence of the apt and the appropriate tax paid! There have been some places wrecked over the years and therefore owners who have spent hundreds of thousands on the place like to know who is in their place - quite reasonable. Also on a health and safety aspect the agent needs to be aware too. |
