we have wanted to visit for a few years now. mainly for the nudity and photography we can do there.
the videos we have seen on line the beaches look a bit like a meat market.
whats it really like there?
we went to maspaloamas a couple of years ago and nikki went for a walk along the dunes and was followed by a group of men and it freaked her out a bit. is it as bad in france? |

I am afraid that any couple entering the dunes will be followed. You will even see men running into the dunes in the hope of a chance of some action ( not withstanding the fact that the couple concerned might be already surrounded by up to fifty men ).
Photography in the dunes will be acceptable providing it is obvious that you are only photographing your partner.
There are plenty of places where you can pose for photography apart from the beach . If you pose in Melrose bar during the day or in front of the marina you will avoid being harressed .
On the beach you will need to be on your guard all the time . |

We've been going to Cap for 20 years. Only once did we see a guy push his luck with a couple and he was immediately taken to one side by the other guys and told not to come back.
We've had a lot of fun there and not once felt threatened. If guys get too close, a simple 'Non' is understood by all....
It's self regulating, if one guy gets the couple upset it ruins the fun for everyone else and so it's in their interests to keep everyone happy.
Agree about photography. On the beach it's taboo, in the dunes you an take pics as long as it's open and everyone can see what you're doing.
Beware of guys carrying cameras attached to bags, you might end up on Xhamster....!! |

You will see signs in the naturist resort staying photography is forbidden. You can take photos of your own group, but if in a public place you need permission from everyone in the photo. French privacy laws are strict. Never take photos of naked children otherwise your off to jail, as one of our guests discovered this year. |
