We stayed at Port Venus 5 years ago, its about as far as you can go from the centre which is good if you want to be able to sleep after you've finished partying. It also has a private pool which is great for families, no kinky stuff goes on but sometimes its nice just to chill without having to make an effort - its a holiday after all.
However, make no mistake, plenty of couples at Port Venus, even the ones with kids change their persona at night, don't be surprised to see that dedicated mother you saw by the pool on all fours in the coins calins at Juls after midnight. |

"Has anyone stayed there? Would appreciate any info. How much is the taxi from the airport been quoted 40 euros one way "
The Taxi fare would be the same for any of the accommodation in the village.
We've not stayed in Port Venus but don't be put off by it being on the edge of the village.
It is just on the far side of the marina and only around a five minute walk from say the Melrose or Le Pilouterie.
However it is no further than the far side of Heliopolis and it would be a much shorter walk from there than from the far end of the camp site.
OK to be fair it would probably add around five minutes to the walk to the beach as well. |

The noise issue isn't such a problem these days since the council enforced the EU noise limits on Melrose and the Port Ambonne bars.
In fact the only real noise we hear right in the centre is the odd punter having a row and un-silenced bikes. |
