The non Cap d'agde thread
Jump to: Newest in thread
I decided to start this thread to let people know that there is more to france than just capo d'agde and that there are people dotted around the whole of france who really don't get to go to the Cap but would still like to meet up.
So if you're not in the Cap, going to the Cap or have a holiday booked at the cap, then this thread is for you, the people who are outside that catchment area.
Let us know where you are and what you're looking for? |

Drone region (26) not too far from Valence or Gorge D'Ardeche. Lovely part of the country steeped in history. Vercors region is worth a visit in itself. Rugged scenery, spectacular roads, quant villages and plenty camp sites. Let me know if passing through or if you'd like some advice on the area. |

"Ha ha....good thread. Cap IS very popular but you are right- there is more to France than just Cap
I'm in 06400 Cannes in May if anyone is around?"
Just like people to know that there is more in France than just the cap and that there is fun to be had elsewhere. |

Good tread good idea, France s so much more than just agde as I think agde is over promoted for what it is ,most of the rental apt are poor quality ,small, overpriced, most of the restaurants serve poor quality food ,shops selling poor quality Chinese clothes etc at high prices,I certainly would not like to live permanently in such a place but some do and I'm sure the keyboard warriors will be out defending vigorously. |

But Agde is a historical city and has some amazing restaurants, vineyards and cultural events. Several Michelin Star restaurants too! The naturist village is expensive for what you get - but then so are the "running costs" A studio in the village costs 120k the same thing in vanilla Cap 50k. Supply & Demand prevails unfortunately. Very few people live permanently in the Naturist Village - but quite a few live in the surrounding area. Cap is not the normal tourist destination and many who visit never leave the village - those that do will find a fabulous region - something for everyone.

Hi. No one can dispute that on a strictly commercial basis Cap d Agde Village is poor value for money when compared to other destinations.
However it is a question of horses for courses . Many people return year after year and some even come five or six times year .
Regulars have concluded that it is a price worth paying for all the fun to be had .
It is impossible to replicate the atmosphere in Cap anywhere else in the world .
Some would argue that when you consider what is on offer, it is good value for money . |

Hi - I am in the gorgeous Aveyron dept (12) 2 valleys south of the Dordogne and north of Toulouse where I have a nice house and pool.
Looking to meet couples or single girls - not really en route to Cap but would make a good diversion or place to recover! |

"Just to remind everyone that there is more to France than just the Cap and there are more of us here looking for fun!!!"
If you are on holiday looking for sexual fun nothing compares to Cap D'Agde (naturist village).yes there are thousands of swingers in the rest of france but how do you find them in a 2 week period ? and Travelling to meet someone might not be successful and a wasted day or more . In cap it is so much easier to meet.
If i wanted a holiday to experience France CAP d'agde would be the last place i would visit.

If you like rural and quiet but with a very good club within an hours drive (Club Steff in Montlucon) the Creuse is for you. Great naturist campsite (not swingers but you never know) near Bussac. We at our place (23 near Gueret) here for a few more weeks yet if anyone visiting or passing through |

The Creuse, not much happens here although I'm lucky to have now found fun neighbours!
Very low key I would say around these parts. Libertine club in Montlucon, apart from that pretty much spread around everywhere else so willing to travel everywhere in France. Probably off to Cap in September to see for myself what all the fuss is about! |

I lived and worked in France for 5 years a while back, so I can hide behind my pigeon French. To be honest between late June to mid September this is the place to be. I'm here in Agde now and it's great. I've been here out of season and you're better off at home where ever that might be. Its 'kin baking at present. The cost of accommodation is sky high, silly really, but you're rubbing shoulders with 10s of thousands of like minded people with the same thing on their mind.... any questions.... |

Does anyone have any suggestions of somewhere to go next week? I have to be in Nice until Monday 7th and fly out of Nice on 14th... Ideally somewhere with a decent nudist beach nearby and not too expensive. Needs to be easy enough to reach using public transport too as I don't drive.
Thanks! |

I am going to be about an hour west of Toulouse 26/08 to 03/09.
I can accommodate in a lovely big house with large pool and tennis court, in a private valley.
I'm down there for work alone but would love some company if anyone is passing by or in the area?
This is a genuine offer for genuine fabsters x |

"Just a reminder that there is still more to France than just the Cap"
No shit shirlock!
How many times do we need reminding?
There is nothing like cap d'agde in any country as far as we are aware. It just happens to be in France. So unless fab has a page just for cap people will have to use the France page on the forum .
So please stop reminding us .
We are well aware that France like any other country has other places to visit and lots to do and see. |

The male of the profile is living in 50240 and would love to meet up with couples or singles who live nearby or passing through on holiday. Finding it difficult to get meets since moving here a couple of years ago so would love some contacts. Certainly not as easy here as back in the UK but life here is so much better. Just could do with some fun |

Are you in the Cap that is the “Non Cap” destination that this thread is about..?
Or are you in a Cap that is not the Cap that we are talking about…?
If so, we’d love to know which Cap you’re in so that we don’t get confused with the Cap that we’re not supposed to be talking about in this thread.
Simple really….

Sir.
I take exception to your post.
I've visited many places in France.
Many times I've sat in the bus stop outside Cap.
What more is there? |

Being the Non Cap d’Agde thread and all that.

That’s the point of this one

Well pointed out.. lol |

I wrote to them as a non native French speaker asking advice and they were extremely helpful about when bes to come for first visit excetera... |

Well, we’re here on the coast between St Tropez and Le Lavandou and it’s VERY quiet… very few restaurants and practically no bars open.
Having to make our own entertainment, the couple who own the neighbouring apartment are down for a few days and have hinted that they might be “up for a bit of fun” but, wouldn’t you know it, our son is visiting so it ain’t likely to happen! |

I think I'm the only person in 74..i live in Annecy which is a delightful bold town on a beautiful lake. Mental busy in the summer (July, August) but other than that it's just very lovely. Beautiful mountains walks, great food etc.. It is a bit expensive compared to lots of other parts of France due to the proximity of Geneva. Definitely worth a visit.. |

Yup, the “Cap d’Agde” thing isn’t for us, I’m afraid, even though we’ve a boat moored on the Canal du Midi near Béziers and have to drive past the door to get there. We view it rather like the one or two swinger parties we’ve attended. Great people and we were made very welcomed, but a little cliquey in that everyone had already met, and the sex was rather like: “Oh, Jim paired off with Julie last time, so tonight Joe will fuck Jane…” Very clinical and contrived and don’t forget the condoms (wow, I’m really on an alliteration kick today, aren’t I?).
Nothing imprévu or even something to look forward to, we’d rather have a bit of unexpected fun with someone we’ve met by accident in a bar!
