Looking for advice on Cap d'Agde...? ASK HERE...

As a lot of people know, Cap is swinging capital of the Europe.

Naturally, first-time visitors will want to do a bit of research beforehand.

So this is the thread to ask...!!

There are many members who live in or near the resort, or have visited the place many times, so there is a wealth of experience here which can be passed on.

This is not meant to stop people starting their own thread requesting advice of course.

But it might save you some time trolling through many threads to find the answer to your question.

So I'll put in my twopennyworth..

The naturist part of Cap is a gated complex. If you book through an agent or privately, you'll get a card for your car or as a pedestrian.

There are over 40,000 people staying there at peak times. Yes, forty thousand...!

You can stay outside the complex and buy a day/weekly/monthly/annual card to get in.

You could park at nearby Marseillan Plage and walk along to beach to the resort. Despite what some people think, it's not illegal and lots do it. Just remember that you have to walk back along the beach after a night out, and it's a long way...!

Cap has a campsite called Oltra. It's big. No, it's HUGE... Over 2500 pitches. It's family orientated, no overt sex there, or you will be thrown out.

It accepts couples and singles. Look on their website for prices.

It's right on the beach, you don't actually need a car if you stay there as shops, bars and clubs are all within walking distance.

They have mobile homes to suit all budgets.

Which leads me to the most important bit....

Staying at Cap can be expensive. There are a few cheaper place to eat, Pizza Flora is one example.

There are several hotels within the complex, some are specifically for swingers. A simple Google search will tell you prices etc..

There are hundreds of apartments or villas to rent, through agents or privately. Some members own accomodation for rent. They can't advertise on Fabs.

Best time to visit is down to you.

If you want a full on swinging holiday, go in July or August.

Book now, or you might find it difficult to get what you want.

May, June and September are our favourite months. The weather is normally hot, plenty warm enough for the beach.

During these months, you can actually see some sand between all the towels, the clubs are less busy (but still have lots of bodies inside) and you can get a seat at the bars and restaurants with having to arrive a 6 o'clock...

The whole complex is naturist, although in recent years there are a lot of people who wear sarongs, even shorts and T shirts during hot spells. There are signs telling you to get your kit off, but they are often ignored. But you can be naked 24/7 if you wish.

In the evenings, just about everyone dresses to got out to eat or drink.

Guys often wear casual clothes, ladies dress as they wish. Which is often very daring.

Don't worry if you think your choice of dress is too wild.. There ain't nothing we haven't seen.....!

Bear in mind there are dress codes for the clubs. You won't get in some if you have jeans and trainers.

The naturist spas don't have a dress code...! Thought I'd mention that...!

There are lots of other things I haven't touched on, so if you have been there before, please add your experiences when someone asks.

Also bear in mind that others may have different tastes/standards to you.

What is good for you, may be a turn off to others. Don't berate them if it doesn't fit in with your ideas of how it is...

Happy Holidays.....

Forgot to say that there is a separate thread for CONFIRMED bookings.

Keep this one for questions, the other thread for telling people when you are going and where you're staying....

Have Fun...
