From Newcastle probably the easiest would be to take the Newcastle/Amsterdam ferry then either head down via Eindhoven - Aachen into Luxembourg (although as I remember the road from Aachen to Luxembourg isn't great) then down to Cap via Dijon Lyon and Montpellier. Or slightly longer (but could be easier with good roads all the way) head down to Cologne then pick up our route to Koblenz - Luxembourg then as above.
The quickest way down through France would be from Calais - Paris- Clermont Ferrand then over the Millau bridge and drop into Beziers, but you would have to drive from Newcastle to Dover for that one. |

I go Liverpool to newhaven across to dieppe then through the Claremont ferrand over the Millau bridge then into bezier this saves 3 hours and 150 miles each way the ferry cost for the motorhome if only a difference of £50 return but I normally stay in dieppe after the ferry then at issoire just before Millau on way back I drive straight from the cap if I only had a week I would personally fly hope this helps starting to plan my trips soon |

Drive up the A1 to Edinburgh, then jump on a plane to beziers, short bus or taxi to Cap. Otherwise your looking at 18-20 hours drive probably with ice ringgit stop each way. |

Recommend you fly to Beziers/Cap D'Agde and just hire a car for the days you want to see the countryside.
By Car it costs us 160 euros for gaz, return from LeHavre - Cap D'Agde ( we have an economical Diesel engine) and 100 euros return fee for motorway tolls, that includes taking the free motorway south of Clermont.
Plus you have all the extra costs of travelling maybe 2500 miles return journey |

"Thinking of going in late june for aweek can any one tell me the quick's cheapest best way to going by car thanks " Hi. As others have said unless you are going to other parts of France it seems a very long journey just for a weeks stay. The flights from Ryan Air will take you straight to Beziers . You other options is Eurostar which is about eight hours from London .
Either option must be better than a long car drive and gives you much more time in the resort . You will lose a couple of days driving and be tired out after the journey |
