In previous years I have sometimes been there during the first two weeks in September, and though things were beginning to wind down, clubs etc were open, and plenty of opportunity for fun, although not quite the buzz that you get in July and August,

We are thinking of going from the 10th Sept for a week, would this be worthwhile?
We have been in July and it was great fun, don't want it to be a disappointment in September
Thanks all |

We will also be in Cap D'Agde at the Oltra campsite in our caravan from around 2 September for 7-10 days.
Looking forward to meeting like minded couples.

"Can anyone tell us what the swinging scene is like in September . Are the clubs still open?" Most of the clubs will be open.
September is probably one of the better months to go. At least you will get a seat in most bars and they will not be packed to capacity .
You will still see plenty of action on the beach or in the sauna club in Port Ambonne .
Another advantage of going in September is that accommodation is cheaper. |

Normally the first week in September is good and its bikers week (Harleys) so there is some interesting, if noisy, goings on.
By the second week there is usually a sense that things are winding down with some shops starting to close.
The clubs remain open.
Each year is different and weather has an effect on the beach etc. Some thunderstorms are forecast in the period.
This year many have reported less UK people about in Cap; that could be the euro rate and it's worse after the Brexit decision. It could also be the security issues or a random set of circumstances. We certainly concur that the June / July period was light on Brits on the beach. Hard to tell why.
We are booked for last week in August (27th) and up to 11th Sept in the camping, but there are family illness issues so we'll see how it goes. |

Hi,
Glad we found this thread.
We have never been to Cap D'Agde but decided we would like to go on week beginning 10 September. We are confused about how best to find a holiday in the swingers part of the resort.
Could anyone point us at any operators or indeed we would be happy to book something jointly too.
Alternatively can anyone suggest any other swing resorts where the weather is likely to be good.
Thanks in advance,
C & R xx |
