"Staying heliopolis. Can I buy WiFi time like I did on the campsite last year.
Regards.Paul. " Hi. It is about twenty pounds a week. However if you rent a quality apartment it is normally included in the rental. |

I suppose in some locations they may work but the Wifi from the supermarket in Port Ambonne has been useless for us in two different apartments. We also tried the one from naturist dot de which was pretty much the same.
Unless you are lucky enough to have it in your apartment or go and sit in a bar, the village (especially Port Nature) is a Wifi free zone.
1667 in Heliopolis is nice for a coffee and the signal is good (well it was last year)

No. Sadly we have neither.
We are not really mobile phone geeks. I (Mr) still use a laptop for most things and the Iphone spends most of its time in a drawer.
I'm usually up a lot earlier than Mrs so it would be nice to go on line without having to leave the apartment, but as I said above all the Wifi tickets we have bought there in the past have been useless.
Does anyone know of one that actually works?
We are in Port Nature 5 (almost directly above the Melrose) from Saturday. |

The other thing you can do which I did last year is buy a mobile router (Amazon around 50€) go to to the SFR shop in agde and buy a mobile data card to put in it around 30€ this gives 2 GB to use in a month you can connect your phone/laptop etc

" pay as you go French Sims have to be topped up every month or you loose your credit and your number - happened to us! There is a solution though le French mobile dot com offer a SIM to none French it's a data/phone and you just have to ensure you have 1€ per month on it when your not using it. All in English and you keep your number. Works well and when you too up you get a 10% bonus! |
