"Looking for a change from Cap, got bitten to death last summer lol Does any swinging go on at Terre de Soleil? " but it still has mosquitoes! If your camping it's what you have to put up with. |

We prefer it to camping at Cap.It's much quieter as a campsite and people are more willing to chat to others around them.
As a result, we almost always end up playing with our neighbours...! We spent 6 weeks there last summer and still play with couples we met there.
The pool is fantastic, large pitches, free entry to the club during the week and The Little Wood...!!
The Mozzies rule on most site, but it does depend on the weather. Last summer was great, hardly got bitten at all compared to other years. Burning citronella candles helps.
It's difficult to beat staying at Cap, so much going on. But if you're looking for a change, we'd suggest trying it for a week in July or August.
See you there....!

Oh yes deffo!! We went last year in July for 5 days and what a great place.People really friendly as SexyBeccy has said. Also its adult couples only So no kids.
We will try and get there this august and with the club attached makes a nice change, and if you do fancy a day/ night in Cap d Agde its only 20 mins away |

I BUCK normally get bitten to hell by mozzies . but now i use a spray every 5 hours at night. the best contain DEET some as much as 50% .
still nights with no breeze and the critters are out to get you !
there is also aftersun with insect repellent that works as well.also black clothes attract more than light colours.
if you do get bit take anti histamine (hay fever tablets) that eases the itching sometimes compleatly.
mind you the site you are on about will probably be worse as its has lots of cover for them bastid things .
anywhere there is puddles of water there are mo0zzies .
we went in june /july this year and there was a hot wind blowing and no bites ..heaven |

Agree with what has already been said- Terre and L'Xtasia great fun and lots going on day and night.
Unfortunately you get bitten everywhere so no escaping mozzies by changing venue but a very good alternative to the Village. |

Is the terre de soleil really in your face we are new camping to this although naturists for years never full time any fun at other holiday destinations can be visited or stay a distance till we are ready .considering this do you think the cap camp site would be best also we have a big 28 ft motorhome is there any issues at any of these site .thanks John booked the ferry be in France 3 weeks in June |

Its not in your face at all. In fact overt sex on the campsite itself is strictly forbidden. Either in tents or in the woods. We love Terre de Soleil. It has a fantastic friendly atmosphere especially around the pool. Bring earplugs for the nights that you dont go to the club cos the disco is very loud! |

The motorhome shouldn't be a problem at all. The pitches are quite large. There are some low hanging trees on the approach in so keep the satnav aerial down! |

It's couples only, so make sure you both go. If this is your partner's first venture into something a bit more frisky than nudism then its a good choice. Extasia has a great restaurant with a moderately naughty show. After that you ajourn to the bar amd disco area. Again no hardcore swinging in this area but volunteers do dance naked on the poles. To get really naughty you have to go upstairs. Bottom line - there's nothing that should overly alarm the missus for her first time. She may even enjoy the naked poolside masseur! |

Many thanks for the advice driving a 1000 miles to your holiday is bad enough but driving back ignoring each other is worst she always likes a massage on holiday normally on the beaches cannot wait thanks again For putting us at ease John |

It is a little gem but it's not perfect. The little black no-no insects are very bitey and difficult to spot. Try to get a pitch well away from the rather stagnant river in the woods. The disco from Extasia is very loud. Not a problem if you are there but if you fancy a quiet night's sleep you'll need good earplugs. We've only been in the shoulder season (June and Sept). Apparently it's a lot more full on in Jul and Aug. Finally, very poor digital reception there. Only 1 bar of 3G is you're lucky. |

We will be spending the whole summer there, May to September.
Happy to chat to anyone thinking of going. We've been staying there for around 10 years, so like to think we know a little bit about the place.
Always bear in mind that our view is just that. Others might have a different take on things.
The facilities are just one aspect, it's the people you meet that actually make your stay enjoyable

We would stay at Terre de Soliel but every time we've tried to book on the phone they seem exasperated that our FRENCH LANGUAGE IS "WELL IMPERFECT" and hang up; nor did anyone try English. That seemed like a bad start for us so we keep going back to the Rene Otlra site where we can actually get booked. Any comments? |

Yea, they can be a bit like that! They have no English at all. However, if all you want to do is camp then you can safely pitch up anytime before the 2nd week in July and you'll have no problem finding an emplacement. Same deal after 31 Aug. Alternatively if you'd like us to book for you then PM us. |

further research suggests that we don't have a profile pic, so maybe you want to PM us and we can talk about it; actually we are already booked for 2 3 week terms in Rene Oltra site this year so it would be 2017. We talked about that tonight as a possibilty because we think that 6 weeks annually at the naturist village is too long. |

We have been there twice and each time we booked online without any trouble. Once you are there, you will find some English spoken in the reception and bar. |

We're here till September, the weather has been brilliant although a couple of thunderstorms rocked the place the other night.
The site is filling up, but still quite a few empty pitches. Very few Brits here this year.
Come on down....

Looking around the site as I write this..
Very few people staying here now and just a few day visitors at a the weekend.
For a relaxing holiday, you can't beat it. Glorious weather, pool still warm, the bar is open but the club is only open on Saturdays now.
Cap is only a short drive away, so plenty of night life there if you want it.
You pays yer money.....

Just confirmed that the foam parties will be held from mid July to Mid August.
The dates are always flexible as they reply on the weather and the number of people on the site.
There are a lot of day visitors on Sundays when the weather is good, which it normally is of course.
There are also a few updates and improvements to the site, so we're really looking forward to this summer.
We'll post more details when we get time...

Were going to make a separate post about the various updates, but thought it might be easier to tag it on to this one.
Good news is that Le Petit Bois (The Little Wood) has totally changed.
Gone are the M*A*S*H tents to be replaced by proper log cabins. They have been fitted out with decent beds and the whole place looks so much better.
The circular outdoor beds remain and are now centre stage.
A huge jacuzzi is now sited near the pool, along with new decking and furniture but if you were there last year you would have already seen it.
The owner wants to make the whole campsite libertine, meaning that couples will be permitted to play outdoors on their pitch. Or your neighbours....!!
The site is fairly quiet still, so that hasn't been tested yet.
It's always happened of course, but normally 'undercover' of an awning or at quiet times or late at night.
They have spent a lot of time making the pitches tidy and overall, its looking very smart.
There were some comments earlier in this thread about communication being difficult in English.
That shouldn't happen now as they have a couple of full time staff who are fluent but if they are busy elsewhere, they normally hand the phone to us...!!
Either way, you get an English speaker to help answer any questions.
First port of call for advice is the campsite itself, but if you want to know more we are more than happy to answer any questions.
All we need now is some decent weather...!!

V quiet in Sept so only fun earlier in the season. Try vitamin b1 thiamine tablets to help with Mozzies. Apparently it makes you smell bad to Mozzies but humans are not deterred. Made a huge difference last year. My mozzi magnet wife was hardly bitten! |

No single guys allowed on the site or in the club and it's strictly enforced.
Shame as Becky would like a few around..!!

But they do allow MMF trios. I’ve asked Marie in person. |

"If any couples are organising a mini bus to Terre during the w/c 21st July from Cap village please let us know - its a great way to share costs and be able to have a drink - and meet new folk "
That's a great idea. Let us know if anything is arranged... |

Further improvements to the camp site...
A poolside bar was installed this week.
The bar alongside the pool is now open and serving food on the evenings when La Palasia restaurant is closed. It's €20 per couple and pretty good value.
They now employ a DJ at the weekends by the pool, not something we like but seems popular. |

We definitely be coming for a day - work permitting! Things get easier after 3rd. |
