Ok single guy, who didn’t pay enough attention in school during French lessons! Struggling slightly to strike up conversations as a single guy in. Cap ( if French teacher at school had suggested this was a reason to pay more attention I would have appreciated it!)
What are the best clubs / bars for single guys to meet couples in Cap ?
Expecting all sorts of comments about single guys / should have paid more attention at school etc etc
And if my French teacher is here ( with his daughter / wife) then sorry, I’m up for extra lessons now! |

So to answer my own question, based on one night out ( so probably wrong) Melrose was definitely the most rocking bar - but only lets couples in. Bodega was great party atmosphere let singles in , everybody very sociable and will definitely return (slightly older crowd mostly - fits my profile!).
As bodega was so much fun thought I’d make a night of it so tried Tantra, however wearing (smart) shorts, so not allowed in unless I hired a pair of long pants at 7 euro which coupled with 60 euro entry meant quite an expensive night ( it shuts at 4 and I wasn’t trying to go in before 2) declined the offer of long trouser hire and moved on to Crystal with same no shorts and 60 euro (not offered hire) . Ended up in Plug and Play, no ban on shorts 50 euro and that inc 3 drinks - only about 40 in it and I was definately grandad ( but hips still swing ! ) but good party mode with everyone dancing and grinding in a very techno way (ears still slightly ringing but that’s probably an age thing!)
Now if anybody has any suggestions for tomorrow let me know (although Bodega probably starting point again)
Life is definately easier here if you wear long trousers and have a pretty pair of legs beside you, oh and are all Brits here Welsh ?!
Have fun exploring |

We have also always found L'Arche a great place to go as mentioned after 12.00PM, we were lucky enough to go to the Cap twice this year, in July L'Arche was as usual great, but in early September the dynamic was very different with a different crowd, didnt stay too long on both occasions we visited.
As a single guy you need to go to Tantra, downstairs and also up in the smoking area upstairs.
Bodega always fare prices and fun...... |

Big difference between now and 2+ weeks ago (not just yesterday’s rain!), most bars shut last Night, which probably was a good thing as it condensed people into Bodega which again after 10.30 proved a good dance and party bar |
