"Anyone around the D-Day beaches area this week? We live 10 mins from Pegasus Bridge and the Mereville-Franceville nude beach...
Does anyone get anywhere near the D-Day beaches on the 6th??? Absolute chaos! . The Merville battery is well worth a peek as well you know. Mind you, the cafe Gondre will be pretty busy too!! "
Pretty busy is an understatement lol... there were less people passing through Jun 6th 1944 |

very true. Still, great to see all the old vehicles etc, certainly a better visiting experience from the 7th onwards.
That nudist beach you mention, is that the one you can see from the ferry deck? |

Well we’ve got here eventually and can report we’ve managed to avoid all the shenanigans save from those that fly over. Forgot how much I love Normandie and loving how much Minx is falling in love with here too. |

"Heard the reporting and programming on radio 2 today, god I'm glad I'm not up that way, sounds like carnage.. "
Crazy buddy. We’ve kept out the way. Spent the day around Cherbourg, nothing too mad around here. |
