Hi everyone, it's our first trip to Cap in our motorhome and staying at rene altra camp site. Do you think it's necessary to take bicycles and if so is it safe to do so? M&A |

I would definitely take bikes, although a friend of mine rents and sells them on the campsite if you don’t want to take your own.
They are great for nipping into the village or heading to the beach as depending upon where you are based on the campsite it can be a 15 minute walk to either!
Fairly safe - obviously keep them locked when outside your camper van, at the beach or in the village.

We take ours that we bought from the bike shop as you enter Cap village. If your looking for an affordable electric bike, you won’t go too wrong with the model this shop sells plus we saved ourselves some serious money when you compare like for like in the UK.. |

Just an update, we have now been at Cap for nearly four days and can confirm we are so happy we brought our fold up bikes with us.It makes getting around the three main areas from campsite a breeze. Highly recommend

We have just got home from Cap D'Agde. We always take our folding bikes to get around. We use them to get around but once in a while we go supermaket shopping at the Intermarche or to the Saturday market in the Port (and oysters at L'ecailler). Tip: Remember to take your gate pass...and put some clothes on when leaving the village! |
