We are thinking of taking our 1st trip to Cap D'Agde in early May this year. We have visited most lifestyle resorts/hotels in other countries apart from Cap D’Agde. We chosen Heliopolis Lux apartment as the place for us but just a little worried it maybe a bit on the quiet side and a little cold in early May hence not giving us a fair reflection of Cap D'Agde.
We could push back until July but accommodation is already sparse and double the price but will it be that much better?
We know many fabbers visit very often and some own apartments there so looking for the thoughts and input from the regulars |

It will be very quiet though the weekends should be busier. All the shops, most bars and clubs should be open .
Your enjoyment might depend on what you expectations are . If it is a sex holiday the Sauna is open every day so you should have opportunities with willing couples . You might find it is too cold for the beach For evenings Pilouterie and the Bodega bar are good . It will be quiet but you can still have a good time |

As for the weather, that's obviously a lottery, but generally the days should be warm.
We've just had a 4-5 days of fantastic sunshine and 22-24C and the evenings are mild, but you'd need a jacket. We've been naked most days for a week or more.
For a true picture, July would be more accurate but as you say, twice the price.
Try it in May, you can always come back in high season. You have experience of other resorts so you'll be able to see the bigger picture.
Hope you enjoy your stay.

We agree with the above comments.
Our first ever visit to Cap was in May, quite a few years ago mind.
There were a few people around at the weekends (mostly French) but midweek it was very quiet.
The international visitors don't really turn up in any numbers until around mid June.
In later years we used to go late June/early July and it was much better.
Not been since Covid though. |

We are here now. It is a little quiet during the day but it was busy in the night (it is a holiday weekend this weekend) the Melrose was banging last night. Everything is open, as for the weather.... we are sitting in cafe 1664 having our coffee in the hot sun, little cool breeze every now and then but going to hit the beach later. You’ll need a light jacket or sweater for the night |

Thanks for all the help and advise given in the forum and privately. Some of the advice and points made have helped us make an informed opinion that high season will be better time for us to visit |

"Hi as single guy would be wired to go alone to cap as far I see is only couples !! "
I've visited 4 times over that past couple of years.
It's perfectly ok for a single man. It's not a couple only holiday resort
