We're at Euronat in the Médoc just north of Bordeaux, here's our first impressions.
Euronat is the biggest naturist village in Europe, bigger than Cap but only by area, not by the number of people. We rented a wooden chalet for 4 people for 100€ per night. The chalet has huge grounds, about 800m² so the nearest neighbours are a long way away, all the accomodation (tents, caravans, chalets, mobile homes) are situated in a pine forest on sand so no danger of it getting muddy if it rains. The beach is great but the sea is only 17°C at the moment so we prefer the pool which is free for residents.
There's a commercial centre with several bars, restaurants and shops. The Médoc is where some of the best wines in France come from so going to a tasting is a must, there are also cycle paths everywhere and the region is great for surfing but to be honest there isn't much else to do off-site.
This weekend is the proper start of the season and bars that were getting ready during the week are now open, the new arrivals are much younger than in low season.
Swinging ? You don't have to talk to many naturists before you come across a swinger and after a while you sort of know who is and who isn't but its very discreet here and only goes on behing closed doors so best to bring the smartphone and use the 'See who's near' function on Fab. Just one snag - the 4G doesn't work very well so we hired a chalet with wi-fi. The people here at the moment are from France, Holland, Germany and Belgium although we did meet some English people who live in France.
Euronat isn't at all an alternative to Cap for swingers but its a great place to relax, the people are really friendly. |

We get 1 & 2 night stayers en route to Euronat and some each way , they all the love nude shopping and bike rides and restaurants there.
Can't wait to make it there for an end of year treat sometime, |
