So we have a private home in a secluded hamlet in the Charente.
We are not over looked and close (2 km) to a town and facilities. Nearest clubs 30 mins and 40 mins!
We have a second property on site that could be converted to offer additional accommodation.
Possible Yurt for additional play area.
We are thinking naturist with an edge for small intimate groups of like minded peeps.
Offering B&B and dinning if required weekends.
Thoughts please. |

Sounds a great idea , we have a small B&B and also considered a swingers weekend, but the village is too small and if any gossip started it would destroy the rest of our business |

This idea has been proposed many times and other than couples running soirées we've not heard of any successful ventures.
For ourselves, other than soirées we've either run or attended, our preference is to spend a few night camping at established naturist/swinger campsites such as, Terre de Soleil, Le Diamant Noir or La Roseraie, simply because they all offer us a larger choice |

If it’s something that you fancy doing then give it a punt and just go for it because if you ask a hundred people you will get a hundred different opinions.
It’s a great idea I think and I wish you the best of luck!!!

This has been tried a few times in Spain as well.
For us the biggest problem is size (isn't it always on here LOL)
If there are only a handful of rooms available there is always the risk of turning up for a few days and finding that the others there (if there are any at all) are just not compatible.
If there was such a place on our route we would consider an overnight instead of a hotel. But that would be about it.

So it is what we expected many views few good points and a few not so positive but valid. The conversion makes sense though. As additional space never a bad thing.
Guessing a concerted market testing needed for the naturist, weekend option would be required.
But clearly if you want to find out how dish tastes you need to eat it as everyones taste buds are different.
Thanks for the private enquiry if we decide the taste it will invite you to the meal. |

We have been in the north of France nearly 5 years.
we have naturists ,b&b ers and a pod too.adult only .
It takes a long time to set up and get your name known and we still haven't cracked it totally yet.
We tried a swingers weekend but too fewer people in our area and all wanted different dates.
Next year our m/h camping is naturist only plus fabbers obviously.and the b&b is on a first cum basis (pardon the pun)there is enough land here to seperate the two luckily.
Good luck .stay safe and enjoy it

we had a normal campsite up the road from us closed down because it was unlicensed and they were providing meals without a license, in a small hamlet if someone found out and objected and the marie got involved you could lose everything |

Hi . As it is your money , only you can assess the risk / award ratio. I organise parties ( which are free ) in Cap d Agde and even then it is difficult to assess how many of those who attend will actually turn up .
My advice would be to organise a small number of evenings ( advertise locally ) , see what the response is, how much people are prepared to pay and then see if it is a viable proposition . ( prior to committing to any capital expenditure ) .
Possibly the best reply to date is to ensure that you fully comply with all local legislation and do not break any bye laws .
Opinions are just that , only you can assess the risk / award scenario and put your plans into action . Not everyone accepts that organising parties / hosting events takes a lot of time and effort . I have had people turn up for parties without even bringing a drink , but happy to drink mine . Luckily this happens comparatively rarely . The other side of the coin is that one Austrian couple enjoyed my events so much this year that they made a very generous contribution to two events in addition to offering me a lift to Montpelier Airport . Another couple on fab also contributed even though none was asked for .
Good luck in whatever you decide - nothing ventured , nothing gained . |

If you can tap into the French market or the passing German Dutch market then your venture could/would be more viable because relying on the Brits in France can be a bit hit and miss at times.
From personal experience we opened a tea room that morphed into a restaurant here in 36 and our customers were mainly French with only 5% being Brits and we ended up being ranked the number one restaurant out of 353 restaurants here in the Indre .
Advice and help is what my wife does for a living so if we can help with your plans drop us a message.
Best of luck.

As above.
too many no shows and all talk with excuses when we try to organise events.
based in northen France its probably different for us.
So for now , there is always room for naturist campers Uk ,Dutch and German. and if any are libertines ,they should let you know soon enough if interested and fun can happen but we treat it as a sexy bonus ,nothing more.
hope this helps

"I floated this idea ages ago, simply put, no one is interested.
I have all the infrastructure and land, very secluded, but it's like flogging a dead horse. "
Well we certainly enjoyed ourselves at the hellfire club |
