We were supposed to be at Cap end of June. We cancelled our trip in April as could see then that it just would not be the same this year.
Never thought we ever say this, but really glad we didn't get to Cap this year ! |

This is a report from "France Bleu"
I've taken it from the German site that we use so the translation is from French to German to English. But it looks pretty accurate.

Covid-19: The positivity rate explodes in the naturist village of Cap d'Agde
Sunday 23 August 2020 , 4:46 p.m. -
Cap d'Agde is facing a significant increase in the number of contamination
Four times higher than the departmental average, the positive rate in the last tests carried out in the naturist village of Cap d'Agde is now 30%. This is evident from the results received in the prefecture on Sunday. A situation that worries the authorities more than ever.
Three days ago, "the rate of Covid-19 infections in the department was 51 per 100,000 inhabitants, this Sunday 73 per 100,000 inhabitants," said the Prefect of Hérault. The alarm threshold is therefore largely exceeded. A situation that is already worrying, but that of the naturist village of Cap d'Agde all the more since "the rate of positivity among the people tested is of the order of 30%", that is to say four times higher than the departmental average and ten times higher than the national one Average.
According to the prefecture's results this Sunday, a total of "52 people of the 182 tested contaminated" in the nudist village, not to mention the dubious tests that have to be repeated. Most of them are over 40 years old. Among them, vacationers from departments other than Hérault make up only 20% of those infected. The Prefect Jacques Witkowski calls for the responsibility of each individual more than ever, he calls on "everyone present in the naturist village to be examined quickly" and "to respect the barrier gestures more than ever". He also recommends potential vacationers who want to go there not to do so.
In the Hérault there are now 22 people in the hospital, including five in the intensive care unit, |
