Terre de Soleil and L'Extasia

Jump to: Newest in thread

It seems that the south of France is slowly coming alive.

A lot of people, me included, thought the summer season wouldn't start at all.

Cap d'Agde is being covered on other threads, so we thought it a good idea to keep this thread for news about the 'Best Kept Secret' just up the road from Cap.

For those that aren't aware, Terre de Soleil is a naturist campsite with a difference.

Within the grounds is one of the biggest swingers clubs in Europe, L'Extasia.

The campsite is much, much smaller than Cap and is also Libertine. Which means it is very swinger friendly, with parties going on most evenings, which mainly involve inviting your neighbours over for apperos and whatever else develops

It's an adult only site, so no fear of youngsters peeping out from behind the curtains..!

There is a disco at L'Extasia every night in July and August, so don't go expecting an early night with a book and some Horlicks.

The site is well run, has a huge swimming pool and a bar serving lunch, the price last year was €30 per couple, which included wine and two sunbeds by the pool.

There's a huge hot tub which is great for getting touchy feely with your new found friends and there's a foam party every Sunday afternoon.

But the best bit is the Petit Bois, or little forest.

It's a secluded area just behind the bar and has outdoor play beds, together with some cabins for group fun.

This area is also available from the disco at night.

Also on site is La Palasia restaurant which is a cabaret type evening where you can pay a combined fee for a meal and entertainment. It's normally drag or burlesque, nothing extreme.

The camping and Palasia are operating now, but L'Extasia won't open until July or maybe August. It's also possible it will operate earlier as a 'normal' club, with all the play rooms closed off..

We've been staying there for around 20 years so we can probably answer most questions you might have. They do speak English at reception so you can always call them direct.

See you there....

Shush...don't speak too loud otherwise everyone will want to go !

Often go there for the day, July-September, especially when the Cap is manic.

As you say, great value, 30 euros per couple including the main course from the lunch menu, half a litre of wine, sunbed, shade and great pool and mostly populated with the more mature folks of this lifestyle.

Had a lot of daytime fun in the 'little wood' especially in their improved facilities over the years.

We have been to l’extasia once which was great but now definitely want to spend a day or two at terre la Soleil as well. Looks great and a nice alternative to the wildness of cap.

"I was planning for a visit this year but I am not sure if it’s worth a traveling"

I’ve been told clubs and saunas are NOT open. Only restaurants, and the beach are. Given the clubs/saunas are the best places for single guys to have fun in, doesn’t seem to be worth going to the cap at all this year.

North Lakes and Manchester

Can only support the recommendation after we stayed 2 nights over bastille weekend last year and were planning to go back this year!

The venue, location staff and atmosphere were amazing, met some lovely people and had a lot of fun, excellent value for money if eating at Palasia and of course the erotic entertainment had to involve Mrs on stage!

If we don’t make it this year then definitely be there next

But shhhh don’t tell anyone

Yes meal was excellent value for money, good quality, and beautiful venue, entertainment was ok but included audience participation if you were unlucky enough!

Also includes free entry in L’Extasia

The entertainment is obviously to personal taste but it is very French and for Brits, it can appear quite cheesy. (Insert joke here).

As we said earlier, think Burlesque or similar.

And as mentioned above, you pay one price for Palasia and entry to L'Extasia so a good night out.

The club opens at 23h00 and ends around 04h00, but they never close the doors if people are still there.

It's about 20 minutes from Cap by car. You could book a taxi to get there, but it will be almost impossible to get one back..! It's quite a rural area. We've heard of taxis being booked for the return journey but failing to show up....

Best get new friends who have a hire car..!

Alternatively you could check out their overnight stays.

Throughout the year they do weekend deals which include a cabin, food in the restaurant and cafe and entry to the club as well as use of their pool and other facilities

Don't know if they run these deals in summer but certainly do during rest of the year.

Yes, these deals are on offer all year, but only at weekends when the campsite is closed.

Great day at l'extasia! Good value and lovely location ! No playing going on so the " small forest" was empty, and unfortunately not clean , but we will definitely return as overall a great place

Still waiting on news about the foam parties starting here but if karaoke is your thing, it's every Friday on the terrace with a meal included in the price.

Sounds like a great deal and a break from the intensity of the village. But how do you get there and back?i guess taxis are impossible.

We chipped in with friends and got a taxi bus there and back - you just need to find 4 or 5 couples - maybe post here ?

We live local so have a car , we have offered occasionally to pick up and drop off .... a different place to the Village , a wooded area with places to play as no swinging allowed around pool , although we have been told a bit of cheeky fondling happens in hot tub and Sunday foam parties ??

Cap d’Agde, France

We live in between, by car we are 20 minutes to the Cap entrance and 10 minutes to Terre de Soleil, so 30 minutes journey from the Cap

Great place to spend a relaxing afternoon and we will normally visit half a dozen times during the summer but you do need a car to get there.

The hot tub holds about 5 couples, 6 if you don't mind getting up close and personal with the guy/gal on either side...!

Hands wander everywhere if you are happy to join in, but no sex or BJ,'s..

Same with the foam parties.

As mentioned earlier, no sexual activity by the poolside but the Petit Bois is just a two minute walk if you feel frisky.

Come on, you know you want to...!

Thanks guys. We should try it as a break from the village. We always have a car but it’s nice to have a few glasses of wine when in France. Getting there fine, getting back ??

Lovely day out there today. If someone mentioned this previously, take cash, or cheque book. They don’t accept Carte Bancaire.
