This is something that has been bugging me for a while, so was just wondering what peoples opinions are.
When using the search facility, and you pick a 'region', they seem to either too wide of an area or just classified wrong.
For example, I come from a town near Sheffield, which is in Yorkshire, and subsequently the north of England. Yet if I want to search for people in this area, I have to search 'East Midlands' now this may be me being a proud yorkshireman and proud of the north, but no part of yorkshire has ever been in the midlands!
I've noticed it with other areas too but this was the main one. I just think it would work better if you could search via a county, or city (and radius)
I may be completely wrong, but what does every think? |

Always amazed at how far away people can be in the regions, especially the Midlands ones, which seem to cover so much of the country. Entering a town name/post code and doing a distance search would be more useful a lot of the time. For those living on a regional divide, it's a bit of a pain having to search in both regions - it applies to me too. |

As we know, Admin have introduced the "First half of your Postcode:" field to the profile, so that they can introduce proximity searching.
For the time being, can't you Save a Search for each region, if you need more than 4 different Postcode Prefixes? |

It's a well worn meme on here that the Fab version of East Midlands stretches from North Essex to South Yorkshire.
If Scotland ever declares independence, i fear the vast 'East Midlands' region may be next! |
