"It's ancient (the site set up ) " Yeah it is, I know it's a "free site" but there are a number of paid up members and affiliate marketing, some of the money should go to upgrades on the site.

Not exact numbers no there is no efficient way to see site supporters numbers but if you where to say 10% active users are site supporters then from then alone there is members paying 14k a month. The site owners wont get all of that granted but that doesn't include affiliate fees and any other income. Can you tell me the last big change made as I haven't noticed 1 in 3 years.

I can see profiles and message people. They can see mine and message me. We have the forums. Search tools. Privacy tools. Verifications. What else do you need to meet people? What bells and whistles would improve the core function, chatting to people? Not forgetting that it's all free. Anything else is gloss and floss.

"We love fabs, we get what we need from it, would I like to see more features for my money? Yeah I suppose. If a similar site came along with the features I like would I jump ship? I'd certainly take a look. However we only really use the mobile app, we'd want mobile app improvements. We love the site, but could see it being easily replaced by something more modern. Hopefully run by the same people that provide the great service we already have. " I'm not advocating leaving and I'm not saying it isn't good I just want it to be better

"If you are on pc at the bottom of the page there should be a blog by the guy who originally set up fab. Looking at the timing of it (around 2008 i think) It detailed how the site only cost a couple thousand to set up, How quickly the site grew compared to similar sites and how succesful the site was becoming. I think the site was sold off around 2012? " 2009

"Be good to have a better match system so you can kinda know if it's worth approaching someone beforehand " Can’t do that because people use the hot list for a not list (not us I may add)

"Be good to have a better match system so you can kinda know if it's worth approaching someone beforehand Can’t do that because people use the hot list for a not list (not us I may add) " Ok how about the other way. You add someone to your hotlist & an option pops up. “Allow this person to know they are on your hotlist?” You click yes, nothing happens though....until they look at your profile when it’ll be highlighted at the top of the screen. They don’t have to do anything with the info & you probably don’t know they’ve looked at your profile as more & more use the secret squirrel function. But what it might do is take a little of the “Shall I, Shan’t I”. Away. If you use the hotlist as a hot/not/avoid like the plague list then you have the yes/no option to differentiate between them. " Can I hazard a guess that you do not work in the industry of web design/ development. This site has at time of writing almost 30,000 people online. Assuming that's say a quarter of total users (and it's probably not) that's 120,000 active subscriptions, are you aware the bandwidth, server needed for that kind of user engagement, it's roughly £4000 per 10,000 users - allowing for adequate storage for each users images etc and assuming they are not having to use specialist hostess due to the nature of this site. They are having to make constant security updates as well as compliance upgrades. All of which you do not see. UI (user interface) is the last thing they will change and only when they do not have all the rest to deal with.

Don't discuss too much, it doesn't fair well with admin... apparently!

Asking people how much it would cost for you to set up a website for a competing site is totally different to making a general comment on a thread.

"Anyone know of any other free swingers sites??" You can't mention other sites on here. But in my experience other sites have harsher pay walls and/or more fakes and bots on than here.
