"Yep for instance Shrewsbry - the capital town for Shropshire - is classed as Wales !"
i know the answer to that one from the job i do... a lot of the SY postcodes is actually in wales...(SY1-13 are in england, SY14-25 are in wales) so that one will always cause problems.... |

And Sheffield is in the East Midlands too. Though as a guy born and raised in Middlesbrough it was almost in the south to me when I was younger so can understand that mistake!
Though to be fair if it encompasses Sheffield and Essex the east mids must almost be a country in its own right... |

Large areas are covered by some postcodes. We (in Oxfordshire) coe under SN for swindon, which then puts us in southwest. After living in Devon i don't count the Southwest as starting untill you reach Exeter.

remember some peeps dont bother entering correct details on their profile so if you search a postcode and they have loaded that as theirs (even though t's totally wrong) then nothing the site can do about it |

"Why does the 'BD' (Bradford/ Skipton areas) come under 'North West'? It's in the North East surely?
"
not north east to me
The north east on here spreads from thr borders to hull, its just one of those weird glitches |

Actually Bradford is neither the North East (as in durham, northumbria etc) or the north west (as in lancs / cumbria)
so what the hell are we North Middle ?
suppose we could just have yorkshire as a seperate area its big enough.
then sheffield and doncaster stop being east mids (which sheff def isnt)
bradford isnt north west and york / hull isnt north east....
or is that slightly parochial ? |
