In addition to published verifications, maybe a profile could have a link to a page listing all user posts. If someone is unverified you could still see they are active on forums and get a sense of them by how they engage with others.
Another thing - if you block someone you could specify a reason. Then a profile could display a count of certain blocks - not-my-type, or no-show-at-last-minite, etc |

People would lie to give others a bad reputation. It wouldn’t work |

Maybe but each person can only block a person once and these blocks can be weighted. A solvable problem is there is real benefit. I just think there needs to be more visibility of site activity to go with verifications. Take your point though. |

No to all of it. The forum is the forum, I wouldn't want a link to my posts on my profile. Also it is only I (Hev) who uses the forum, so it would only show one side of this couple.
I have a very long block list on my single profile for various reasons, I do not want to start having to give a reason for blocking people. That would feel like having to "justify" blocking someone.
I think also those ideas would be daunting and off putting to newbies, particularly solo females.

Bad idea.
I blocked you for not showing up for our meet.
I've just messaged all my friends and asked them to do the same.
Your profile is now showing that you failed to turn up for 50 meets.
None of this is true of course.
It's open to abuse, see? |

I would say the same thing it would be open to abuse by large groups to blacken others names. |

I think the first idea is good, perhaps user could allow or not allow the green arrow on their profile as part of their preferences. As other have said the second idea is open to abuse so it wouldn’t get my vote. |
