are we allowed soon an edit button in which we can edit our posts -- within a time limit window - say, 15 mins??

It would be a useful feature - just to get rid of the odd typo if nothing else.

I suspect I know what the answer will be though

ah, has it been asked before? even a 15 min window would be good.

I found another couple of old threads about it but it seems the site owners declined to comment.

It would be useful. A site we were previously banned from did have an edit facility which, as you suggested, gave 10-15 minutes in which to make a correction to a post that you had made.

It was the only good thing about the site though lol

There is a "preview message" facility, which allows you to see your post as it will look on the boards (before you post it).

And there is a "delete" facility, which allows you to remove your post for the first few minutes after you've posted. (Copy what you put, use the "delete" facility, open a new message, paste, make your corrections and post again) In that way, it works like an edit facility, and it is only a few extra clicks.
