Delete just one message from a thread?

Hi, I have had to delete a whole set of messages in the new system! All I wanted to do was delete just one of the messages and keep the rest. Is there any way that I could have deleted just the one message?

Switch back to the old inbox, delete the message you want to delete, then switch back to the new inbox.
