Hi. We have only been on this site the laat couple of weeks and although we have met 1 great couple we have been catfished and scammed 4 times now.
What's the process of getting these people banned and letting other people know who these lowlives are so they don't get dupped as well. I know you can report a profile but it's no good if they all of a sudden block you when you have gotten wise to them and they are free to scam other people! Surely we should be able to let others know who they are? Surely this site protects the genuine people rather than the scammers. |

The problem with letting others know is that people lie. I've been told that people will report me as fake if I don't meet them. That's come to fairly little, but probably because I did actually meet someone before the first threat (and I met people early on who were prepared to appeal to admin on my behalf). Not everyone will be that lucky.
Talking among friends happens, I'm sure, but naming and shaming isn't allowed for good reason. |

Catfishing can be avoided by asking for a brief social or a quick cam.
Scamming can be avoided by only communicating on fab and never giving money or signing up elsewhere.
Always report profiles, admin have said they will always take action where there's evidence |

Well we were talking to a couple and arranged a MMF for Lina with the bloke because the girl was busy but she promised to meet us later on that week. So at at last minute i googled the pics of the girl and it turned out she lived in New Jersey USA so it was basically a fake profile for a just a single bloke. Twat. Could have been nasty. So we need to be careful.
I agree there is the connotation of false accusations but there must be a better way of letting people know of banned accounts or stopping them being created in the first place. This person had veri's from other fake accounts too! |
