Glitch or hack?: notification of member accepting our friend request. We never sent one!

Received a notification this morning that a single guy had accepted our friend invite.
We’ve never even looked at his profile!
We hadn’t sent him an invite and we immediately blocked him after the notification appeared.
He doesn’t appear in our friends list so we couldn’t unfriend him.
A site glitch or a hack?
Rather disconcerting. |

There used to be a glitch if someone blocked another it sent a friends invite...not sure if it is fixed or not so it could be that |

We’ve had this in the past if we’ve been messaging another couple it suddenly says they’ve accepted our friend request, when, like you we didn’t send one! One couple got quite nasty that we had dared send a request when we didn’t know them! |

It maybe a glitch. I know I have had a few people added to my friends list. These were people I would never have 1. Sent friends requests to 2. Accepted friends requests from.3. Had no correspondence from.
I regularly check my friends list now, just in case. This has happened on my old single profile. |
