Should be some slack though...
Like being 1 year out out of the age range you shouldn't get the whole "You are too young/old! How dare you send this person a message you have some nerve!" (or whatever it says) |

tbh it doesn't matter how far out of the age range you are, you are out of it and have to live with it

"This is why i never usually post on forums (this or any), always someone challenging your view no matter what it is."
I'm not challenging anyones view, i'm telling you my thoughts on it.

Is it not better to be politely warned that either being ignored or deleted. Its so annoying getting lots of messages from people who ignore the information in profiles and personally I think the warning is a fab idea.
That is my opinion |

We messaged a member that had the desire meeting M & F. We obviously got the warning as she didn't state MF as in couples. An accident on our behalf so we didn't write to her in the end. It's a good idea. This was a genuine mistake. |

i like it... just had my first one of these.. and noticed a possible glitch....
the person who i sent a message to had just sent me a friends request (someone i was chatting to in a club last night) so then went to say hello and got the warning message......
so would it be possible to tweek it so it isn't set off if the original person send you a wink or a friends request??
bloody scary thing though!!!!! |

We'll look at seeing if we can stop if showing if you're friends with the user.

Thanks for this additional feature.
We've stopped getting so much unwanted contact, but still allows us to keep channels of communication from people we do want to hear from (people we've met, but not yet added to friends etc) rather than block everyone.
Thanks

We got a message from a single guy (we do meet them) but he was fairly new and hadn't put couples down on his profile, so the warning came up when we replied. Just told him in the message and I think he's changed his profile now, was a bit of a shock when it first came up though. |

We've just had the 'Stop Think' thingy come up when sending a message to another member.
Firstly we have no recollection of ever sending a message previously, however we have been on this site for many years so it is possible that we may have contacted them years and years ago.
Secondly and perhaps more importantly we were actually responding to a wink received from them.

I'm thinking if one is aware there may well be interest such as receiving winks, then one can assume it's fine to ignore the message of warning. |

I do up to a point. What it. doesnt allow for is that someone a year too old could be fit and athletic whilst someone within range could be the opposite

Its not stopping you from sending a message though, its just a little reminder that you may not get a response as you don't fit all the criteria that has been set on that persons profile |
