Abillity to block forum threads

Sussex/Surrey

There are some forum threads which come up again and again, or get bounced from way back so they appear again.

Would be great to have the facility to block these from appearing in the thread list.

"Yes would be good if say after 6 months with no new posts they were closed "

There could be some useful info on the forum for new people to read though

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I have a bigger issue with the banal repetition of the same subjects over again.

Do women like tattoos / beards / baldness / circuncised men, twice a day each, like clockwork.

If somebody has something useful to add to a previous thread, why limit them? There's no statute of limitations on intelligence...

Agreed, but it would make sense if Event threads closed after the event had passed. They could be left open for a period of time to allow comments on the event, but closing them would stop people putting their name down for a past event and then complaining because the organisers haven't included them.

It could be good if the site suggested existing threads, whenever a new thread is opened and subject added - this could lead to pre-existing threads and their contents being used to greatest effect.
