For large cities I.e London distance isn't very accurate and needs to have an option under 5 miles as 10 miles is too far.

What you can't travel 5 miles or you are looking for someone in your street to stalk?

Too far?

Are you hoping to find your neighbours on here?

Ha 10 miles is too far really? I think your boundary is too tight if you want a choice

10 miles across London is a distance and travelling it take a while plus the postcode search is just not accurate in London, greater london has a population of 8.6 million.

In other areas yes 10 miles is nothing.

Read the idea in the context of the area I'm not talking generally.

I agree with OP

Within 5 miles gives suggestions up to 10 miles, and that could be 2 hours away, within a mile would be perfect.

Not perfect but why not use whose nears and hotlist them to keep track of those that you like. Within 10miles works here fine, but totally get what you're saying about geographical challenges you face.

Maybe an option to search your bedroom would be perfect?

My limited experience of traveling in London is that the underground makes it one of the easiest cities in the country to get around.

Distance ls are hit and miss. My partner was laying next to me and Fab showed her as being 1.5 miles away. Other times she is within 4 minutes. It really all depends on the phone signal and satellites

One more thing about distance is that it takes distance as a direct route. So if you live, like me in Essex it shows people in kent as being 5 miles away when in fact it is a 25 mile drive to get there.

When it comes to river borders, that's a very valid point
