There is, the introduction section. If you report any that are in different sections they will be removed when the report is seen or if a mod sees it before

I've suggested this before too - if I'd been around for a year and wanted to ask for profile advice, I'm not sure if the introductions forum would be my first port of call. I think of that more as hi, just found the forums and looking for...

At least if they were all on one board it would be totally obvious and people could read through/avoid as they wanted.

It used to say Introductions and profile advice on the header so why they went in there. As it doesn't now it isn't a problem for a mod to move them into there if they see it or you report the thread for others to move it

There are threads in the lounge daily, that shouldn't be.

There isn't a way for Admin to force people into posting in the right section plus a lot of them come from newbies or people who don't use the forum normally so it would be good to give the newbies some slack.

The best option is to report if a mod hasn't seen it and it will be moved

The lounge gets the most traffic so that's why people tend to post in there.

It might be annoying for some, just don't read/comment and move on to a thread that does interest you.

I view the forum as a bit like a library. I like to find science books in the science and nature department. Likewise if I want to read about brexit, I know to look in the politics forum. Otherwise it just defeats the purpose of having multiple designated forums.
