We've done a small update. "Note" icons now show on your hotlist and friends lists.
You can also see them on your block list and also make notes on blocked profiles.
As a reminder, if you're a site supporter you can make private notes on profiles via the "Your Private Notes" link at the left hand side of any profile you view.

Have you added a note to a profile? If not you won't see the "has notes" icon.
Try adding a private note about someone on your friendlist/hotlist.
