Would it be possible to be able to block smokers from messaging? Or at least include (it may do) the "stop think" message for smokers messaging those who won't meet smokers?
I get really ill around even third hand smoke. It's non-negotiable. I've made it clear in my profile. But smokers message me anyway, and a substantial minority don't respect my health. Yes I can and do use all the usual methods to say no, including blocking, but it's frustrating when there's just no way it'll ever happen. |

Can we filter peeps that don’t like bald people too?
Just make it plainly obvious you don’t meet smokers, one whiff of smoke you’re gone and will leave feedback explaining why they are an arse!
Just have to be selective and use that block button!

The thing is, they would probably lie if it's stopping them getting a meet..a bit of mouthwash and gum a few hours later you would not know....so on there profile they would just tick the not a smoker ....it's like being married but not saying so..you would never know.. |

What I don’t understand are those who say “won’t meet smokers” yet state that they are themselves a smoker.
I smoke on and off, so my smoking status fluctuates with my attempts to quit. |

My extremely sensitive nose never lies. Not the smell, that can be covered, but the painful reaction.
I get people lying too, but that's a job for my common sense. |

Just curious OP if you ever left your house before 2007?
Every public place had smokers in it
How did you cope?
A tick box wouldn't make any difference as a lot of (not all) people will tick what they think will fit most criteria in a search when they set up their account

People do make it plainly obvious that they won’t meet smokers(like us for example) but they still message because large swathes of people look at pics and don’t read profiles.
Sadly this will still be open to abuse as many will soon cotton on and just put themselves down as ‘non-smokers’ and hope you don’t notice when they show up.... so probably better to maintain the status quo and at least encourage the majority in f them to be honest rather than dis-honest? |

I agree with this as we get messages from non smokers and when we reply with thanks for message but you won’t meet smokers, we are told ‘we don’t mind but suit yourselves ‘ |
