I've noticed that some of our messages have been deleted, can someone please explain how this has occurred?

They automatically delete after so long I believe.

If you take a break for a couple of months your inbox is empty it seems to be the 8 - 12 week mark they all get deleted if you don't log in. It seems sensible as you wouldn't go and reply to a 3 month old message.

Txs for all the input.

We’ve only just sent some of these messages, so duration is not the issue. The other party hasn’t deleted the messages either. And finally the account isn’t inactive for any great length of time.

So I’m still puzzled lol

If you haven't read the message, they delete after 3 weeks.

we've had messages go missing, the previous one from a friend is still there as is our reply, but his latest message which we left unread until we replied has gone, along with a couple of others, I think there is a glitch in the system

If you use the new mailbox...even if you've deleted messages...the whole chain comes back if you then get a reply

I just had a whole thread, (along with the member) just dissappear, including my own messages to them. Very confusing!
