Many ladies and couples keep the single guy filter on, ourselves included.
Some single guys feel they would a match and wish they could send a message, but can't.
How about a new button that can be switched on or off by the profile holder, that allows (only) single guys to send the equivalent of a wink while still being unable to send a message?
That way the profile holder can (in their own time) check the profiles of these guys and get in touch if they are interested.
Benefits include:
PH doesn't receive hundreds of messages.
PH already knows which profiles to look through when looking for guys.
Guys can express an interest and allow their presence to be known.
We appreciate the search function is available, but this just seems an easier way to look for single guys where everyone would have an advantage.

That's a great idea. That's sort of how I do it at the moment. If I read a profile and I'm interested but they have single guys well find you 9n their profile, I simply send a wink and if they're interested they will usually message saying thanks and introduce themselves... |

That's the idea behind this new button. Ladies and couples can keep the filter in place. If they don't want contact by single guys at all then they can keep the button off too.
But by switching it on, they are saying they ARE interested in single guys, just not right now.
This would also help stop any of the nastiness you are speaking of.

Yip sounds like a plan i do understand couples getting swamped with single guys i was a couple for a while and we got the same and not all couples are arrogant n nasty iv met some smashing couples on this n preveous profiles i just tend to meet at socoals clubs or when abrode

That's a valid point but I don't think that would happen. In our experience most of these messages are from guys expecting an instant meet. If they know they are unlikely to receive a response until whenever the profile holder is ready, and it could be months, it is far less likely they will "try their luck". |

Very true, and I'm sure many use the fab a pic feature for the same reason. But some people consider a fabbed pic to be just that- an appreciation of the photo. |

I don't think so. Please see my reply above. Also, if the number of times per month the button could be used is limited then it wouldnt make any sense to "waste" them.

I actually think it is a great idea
I often find this text on profiles and think wow our interests are a perfect match..
sometimes too the age filters mean I'm literally just outside their range and if woul be nice.
Maybe Fab could amend the wink function or introduce a 'Wave'.
Site supporters could have ten winks or waves a month that can be sent to any other member.
The limit would make them mean more and ensure that they are used wisely

Yep,I agree, fabbing a pic does the same as a wink. ie nothing haha. Still it let's someone know that their pics are appreciated.
Men tend to get their pics fabbed by other men they have no interest in. A big thank you to all the queers out there.
To me,"single men,we'll find you" means don't ring us we'll ring you. ie don't bother hoping the phonesever gonna ring. Move along...next. |

As someone who respects people’s choices and does not like to pester, this does appeal to me. I take something of a passive role, even when I’ve been viewed numerous times by couples who state “not looking for single guys” I wait to let them message me and it does happen. Going through all the profiles to find the decent ones, is a task. I’ve had that same issue when I’ve had couple profiles.
Probably the reason that so many males have responded in the affirmative, is that as decent guys, this makes sense. Bear in mind too, that this thread was begun by a couple not a single guy. |

You don't have the single guy filter in place though. We don't receive winks or messages from single guys because of this. We don't always know who fabbed our pics because we are only notified for 24 hours. |

Perhaps have alternative sets of filters for messages and winks. That way a person could decide to block winks from everyone they block messages from but, alternatively, could block messages from single men but accept winks from them. Presumably a fairly simple change technically speaking too? |

That's exactly the idea, but with its use being limited to just 10 or 15 times a month guys are more likely to use it sensibly.
And of course, the function can always be switched off and would therefore make absolutely no difference to the way things work at present. |

Need to disagree mate lots couples fab my profile but says on theirs not interested in single males i can block males, females, but cant block couples who are not interested in single males with blocking couples who are so they have complete access to nosey about |

What annoys me is people saying just looking for women or couples but leaving it open for single guys to message and having single guy veris then giving abuse. |

I tend not to message unless they message me mate your only i giving them the chance to dish out verbal i stick to socials then see if there a spark you prob want to meet first anyway In their defence they prob do get a lot of fake arseholes message them iv been a couple i know but some are just nasty for sake of it |

After reading through this i now realise why after being a part of fab for a week ive had hardly any of my msgs replied to. Its cause idiots before me have messed it up for everyone. I am recently single and have been looking for good company more than anything. Its a real shame that some men dnt know how to behave and have put so many people off. Thinking of shutting my account down already. |

mate this is good for banter in the forums and putting your name down for socials best way to meet honest iv met some great folk here and last profile clubs are good too but be prepared as in some clubs single guys follow couples about and does look creepy but you do still me nice couples and fems aswell

The overall idea seems to be well received by the guys as MrsGivesWood pointed out, but it would be interesting to hear from other couples and ladies. Let's face it, without their support the whole thing becomes pointless. |

I can't see a benefit to this .there's the obvious flaw..and here's why..
The guy instead of messaging or winking presses the new button .. "he thinks he's a match " that doesn't mean you are. You could have 100's of these and zero are from who you seek you'd still need to search yourself...it also doesn't stop the spam cut and paste bloke pressing the button on every profile with the option I see zero benefit..for anyone.
If couples or whoever is interested in meeting single guys be proactive look for who you seek after all yout know who you're looking for the type of guy you like..
Here's my top tip for couples and single ladies the guys you might be interested in are possibly out there meeting folk already ..you might have to upo your game to entice them..
It's often said (often to guys) the more effort you put in the greater your rewards.. |

That could happen but only to the first ten profiles, then the guy would have to wait a month before he could try again. Such actions would get him nowhere.

Why does he definitely fab a picture ?? You're jumping to a huge conclusion there and even if he did use the fab for that purpose he can do it again if he wishes..

I'd rather initiate contact with folk who are wanting to communicate than one that might.
