Following on from another forum thread. How about introducing trigger warnings to help keep new users without being inundated with messages when they join.
On another site, they’ve just introduced trigger warnings before every first message. A bit like the “this person is outwith age range” warning on here.
It will say things like “would you be happy for your friends to see the message you’re about to send” or “is this message original and about something in their profile?” It’s a long shot but it might help keep users who get intimidated (I know at least 3 women who left after less than a week) by the volume of guys “pouncing” on them.
