We'll be showing the Poppy on our header tomorrow (11/11/11) and on Remembrance Sunday in remembrance of those who fought for this country.
This year Fab has supported two charities.
We have donated £100 to Help for Heroes:
http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/
And £100 to Royal British Legion:
http://www.britishlegion.org.uk/
We'll also be adding these links to the update feeds tomorrow.

PS. Don't forget if you want to show the poppy on your profile just ensure you're in the photo too so wearing a poppy or holding a poppy. |

Lovely thing to do admin. I work for the British legion, so I see how much hard work goes in to the poppy appeal all year round and gestures like this make it all worthwhile for the poppy organisers, and also for the volenteers Thank you fabswingers xxx |

As a side note, there are two British Legions.
One is the Club, that deals with the beer etc
and the branch, which deals with poppies and the welfare. They have separate rules and committees etc.
Many Branches now meet in pubs and halls, due to the club closing down. |

This is true, my club is on its last legs tbh, and are thinking of getting rid of the branch and turning it into an ex service man's club. Would be such a shame if this happened as it would no longer be a registered charity, therefore beer and memberships would go up.
On another note the club also do help out with the branch for raising poppy funds. The poppy dance function room, bar staff and buffet is all provided by the club as well as the use of the club for rememberance Sunday. The branch and club don't work together often but when they do, they do it well |

Service charities do a lot of work, funds are always needed. Thank you for your donation.
Will be at the Auld Kirk in Stirling tomorrow, it is always cold on the Second Sunday of November.
If anyone has a loose end tonight the BBC always show the Festival of Rememberance.
Apologies for the bump admin
