Charging single men

When will fab ever approach the subject of charging single men to use this site.
With so many idiots, fakes, timeasters and the fact the ratio is about 99/1 against single men, it may even make this more of an enjoyable site.
Works on other sites so worth considering here.
Also if not verified within a certain time of joining your profile should be deleted. |

I'm on another site that does this and there's not much difference.
Never had my time wasted here and the fakes are easy to spot, people just need to wise up a bit.
Also, the unverified profiles being deleted after a year can just set up a new profile the next day.
Having said all that, I have no clever suggestions myself on how to stop fake profiles! |

Most of the fakes would either sign up with a couples or female profile. They have no intention of meeting and join to waste time. I don't think charging is the answer, and people are getting better at spotting the fakes and time wasters too |

This...We use our filters very effectively and our time on Fab has given us the experience to out the fakes pretty sharpish.

People use the site in many ways
Some want to meet others
Some just want to use forums
Some just here for the chat etc etc
If we had to pay and be verified within a certain timeframe when we first joined we probably wouldn’t be here.
We don’t really use the site for any of the above so our profile would have been deleted going by the op.
We are genuine
Not fake either.
But have been called idiots a few times. |

I have yet to have my time wasted or be caught out by fakes etc.
I do wonder if those that complain about time wasters etc, I wonder how they use the site? Are they looking for instant gratification? Instant hookups? Spend time telling someone what they want to do to them, so that the recipient has a quick wank and disappears? I think you only have your time wasted if you allow it to happen. |

We we have come across a man pretending to be a woman and it was very easy to work as they he kept on about was this male profile so we just blocked I think it fair to say we don't mind paying at all |

I don't think it would be a good idea to charge single male profiles or in fact to charge at all. To be fair this site works good for me if I want to get an upgrade I can if not I still get to talk to most people. I've joined other so called free sites where to even read a message you have to upgrade needless to say I have not stayed long. I also don't think it will cut out the fake profiles as they mainly in my experience been a couples profile where the lady doesn't exist |

I've been on sites that charge single men north of £25 a month.
The amount of fake profiles is ridiculous.
Fab has the tools to help our selection process, use of the tools and a modicum of common sense are all that's needed. |

I’ve been on here quite a while now I’m single genuine and not verified..
If people not intrested in me how do I get verified..
So that mean I get thrown off site..
We all start on here the same but it takes longer for some than others to get verified...
You obviously had a few meets.. happy you..
So should people with to many meets get banned too..?? |

No!
It would make the site worse, not better. Charging would decrease all site user numbers and fakes etc will still pay - they have money too.
With fewer users overall, it's feasible that bad users would increase as a percentage of all users, se the problem could seem worse.
We each have to be responsible for filtering people we chat and meet with. The site cannot provide a replacement for you doing that.

I think it all depends on how you define wasting time... For me, it's a no show when you are at said venue waiting (luckily this has never happened). Just chatting to someone and then realising you really don't want to chat or meet that person isn't wasting my time. It's just the process of finding the profile you do want! |

Same thing with clubs isn't it .
More men than women
I'm guessing if they charged the men (example ) £60 entry it would possibly halve .
It is something that needs a solution as the majority of so called couples profiles these days seems to be a single guy ..
I'm sure there is a solution ..and many ways to improve .however as we all know nothing seems to be done on the improvement of the site |

The timewasters get their jollies messing people's lives about, so charging a fee won't affect them because they would pay it.
The real problem are female/tgirl profiles that are really escorts or the ones that draw unsuspecting men in and when they meet 2 or men are waiting to mug them (this has happened in a few places in UK). |

What about a "one out, one in" system for males, where you sign up and are entered on a waiting list till a reasonable ratio of male to female users is reached, or something along those lines! |

OP. Charging still wouldn't change the timewasters issue.
In any of the sites, the timewaster problems will exist be it from Single guys, Females or Couples.
As stated by others, spotting them comes down to experience and reading between the lines!
As for your notion of non-verified people having their profile removed after a specific period of no verifications, is too ridiculous!
EG. Two years ago, the company I worked for, transferred me to a post at one of their properties in the Scottish Highlands.
Meets wise, it was disasterous. Without a car, the last local buses leaving the nearest town at 6pm back to my location plus few ppl looking in that region on this site, I'd have had more luck getting a meet on Mars! I left after 6 months and after returning to a more populated area, returned to successful meets.
Your profile shows several Veris in a year! Bully for you! You have had success. But many guys don't & can take ages to successfully achieve their first meet!

You may be underestimating how desperate and pervy most single guys are on here .. I’m sure most single guys on here are just collecting photos to wank to with no intention of meeting anyone at all, or at least accept the odds are stacked against them but still sign up to have a really good perv . |

My most disappointing letdowns on here have been with women/couples I have communicated with for a long time before the supposed meet and then been let down at the last minute. Spur of the moment seems to work at least as well (or badly) on here. |

It's all relative fake profiles and time wasters exist even on paid sites. Proportionally the fake profiles or time wasters we have come across are male. But in all fairness this is what we are looking for(single men). However we have come across couple profiles that are fake and even profiles using our photographs. Admin has been great and removed these promptly. There are many verified profiles out there as well that don't cut the ice. Always wary of unpublished verifications as we have found to our cost that these are not always genuine. We only ever arrange meets once we have established a chat on the phone. If they won't talk on the phone they sure are not going to meet. As for enjoying the chase as mentioned earlier in this thread is there any point? |

I am genuinely trying to meet on here trying to modify my profile to meet and play. Maybe find it hard to spot the fakes taking people at face value. I have met people at clubs and social events with genuine fab handles but when I come on to verify I cannot find themail. |

I choose not to have veris, I've met people on here and on other sites..
I do think people judge far too quickly on here and make a lot of presumptions..
Tbh when I was on here many years ago I found the place less "clicky" and better/nicer now it just seems a beak whores paradise.... |

I'm a single man of 51 which is out of the age range most are willing to meet hence no veries but I'm unemployed so limits income as well. I know I not only man in this situation I can't be lol but I'm here because it is free and not on the paid sites I am real but respect boundaries hence I won't do clubs if I'm to old on here I wouldn't expect it to be different at clubs after all I'm same age for both locations |

Coukd there not be a red/ yellow card system so if someone had been abusive/ found out to be fake something could be used to warn other users?
I appreciate they could delete and set up other profiles but surely that would be frustrating and time consuming? |

So many couples are fake as well, not to mention the straight couples who’s men message and ask to suck a guy off or meet in their wife’s knickers for anal, we could all go on and on but there will not be one idea that will stop fake men, couples or T girls.
Figuure the site out, set your profile how you want it with the relevant filters and get on with it.

The idea of a red/yellow system would be good, stop a lot of fakes/picture collectors. Also gives legit profiles a chance to out fakes. Like a three strikes you’re out thing.
Charging single men wouldn’t necessarily put them off, just make the couples/female profiles more difficult to suss the messers.
If someone is on here for a month with no photos and none of the profile filled out (or just one line in each section) and no verification then they should be removed. Even a profile pic at least. You can pretty much guarantee they are just one here to look at photos and have a tug.  |

Verification should be done by Moderators via cam or meet, in a "judges decision is final" sort of manner, verification by meeting other members alone is flawed, but at the moment the only option, just because someone doesn't fit your criteria, doesn't mean that they are fake or time wasters, they're trying to get verified as well, obviously there are fakes and idiots, they just need ing out! |

And I am quite sure the moderators have better things to do than audition members to see if they are allowed to be on the site or not.

Exactly. The site supporters shows those that might be more serious about Fab (or desperate).
I supported this way after joining to show that I was more serious and liked to believe the site and community as a whole would benefit from it. |
