On the choose meet type, how about a meet at my place option, as when i click meet at our place i always feel like im implying that there will be somebody else there or somebody lurking in the wardrobe

Do you mean the specific text "Meet at my place" to differentiate you as a single? Can you not just use the existing "Meet at our place" as your profile type (Man, Woman, Couple (MF), ...) will be shown against the meet?

How about on the meet today thingy they stop allowing people to advetise their clubs or parties where they are taking money for entry? If these people expect you to pay surely they should pay for the advertising space. This, for the most part, is supposed to be a free site after all so really should be for people who are wanting to meet and not for people who want you to pay to go to thier events. Fine if you want to advertise your venue or party, if your expecting to earn some money from it maybe it's a bit cheeky that you are allowed to advertise on a section like 'meet today' when you expect money to change hands. Just a thought.

I strongly agree with you, but you'll find that many clubs have members of staff, or close personal friends who advertise meets and write reviews. I don't think there's any way to filter these out! How are you going to differentiate between these people and those who are regulars at a club and like it to be busy when they go? As long as the meet is advertised as a "club night", "club meet" or an "Organised Event", you know there's going to be a charge.

That is a good point and I'm not a techy but perhaps it's a simple programming thing like with online gaming or chat rooms. Theres a bit of programming in these sites that stop people from using bad language or sexual references. Perhaps it's a similar thing that could be used here whereby if money is metioned it is automatically blocked. Again, I'm not a techy but maybe thats possible. Hey fabs, here's a thing, perhaps if people try to use your website to advertise you could send them an automated message saying 'your meet was seen as an ad and has been blocked, click on this icon and be directed to a section of the site where you can pay a fee to advertise your paid event/club/party.' There you go fab AND I only charge a minimal fee for my idea!!!
