Messages grouped together

For some time we have been using the facility where messages are all grouped together,however today I find its gone back to the way it used to be.

Is this a site error?

Or have I inadvertently done something to the settings that I shouldn't have?

Is this for messages from one person or multiple people so u can find them easily

It was grouping one persons messages all together,now it's not.
