Interesting, but how can you send that message without using the Message button whilst viewing their profile? |

Even when your profile is hidden people can still send you a message if they are not blocked by your message filters. If you have ever sent a message to someone any filters you have in place don't apply to them.
When your profile is hidden you won't show up on local updates or in searches. Anyone on your friends list or who has hotlisted you can still find you. They go to their friend list or hot list and you will be listed on there - they can't view your profile but can still send you a message.
Other ways people can find you are if you post in the forum or go in the chat rooms. Again they can't view your profile but can still send a message. |
