a] Local updates do not match 'Looking For' criteria.
b] Distance IS the MAJOR factor in 'Looking For' criteria.
Hence my comment - Sad, but true.

I have had a look and can quite confidently say it is a feature I will never use again.
I see enough status updates moaning about "nobody ever meets" and cock pics taken over the toilet on my local feed, why would I want to see the same thing from members who are hundreds of miles away!
I can see it being popular for some single men. They can find lots more ladies and couples easily to blast out their copy and paste or "fancy a fuck" message to. For ladies and couples it will just mean even more time wasted on dealing with crap messages from people we don't want to talk to and less time to actually chat with the people we are interested in.
Admin I think this latest feature is a mistake.
It is going to lead to more ladies and couples leaving the site because of the behaviour of some men and more men moaning about not getting replies and people being ignorant. |

Sadly have to agree. Just done a very brief check and the first ten profiles were all from either London or the South West. If we were planning trips to those areas we are more than capable of sorting out our own meets and a quick change of postcode allows you to see that areas local feeds. This feature is a bit pointless. |

Local updates don't really work because it only takes into account the first bit of the postcode and that doesn't work in my neck of the woods because I don't see stuff 5 miles away but do see things over an hour away and I can't see the new national updates a benifit either
A proper update from what I'm looking for in my profile and from a reasonable distance from my home would be great and I have been waiting for that for years.
Other sites have already been doing it so should be possible  |

There must be a way of tracking who uses it.
I suspect it is a faffers dream. Set your criteria and faf everyone who meets your criteria.
It would be useful if we can opt out.
I don't have to worry about a sudden influx of messages. I don't have boobs. |

Its a great idea but needs regional or distance filters.
